Kinetics and One Love began writing and producing music together after meeting at Cornell University in 2006.[1] In 2009, they released their debut album Fading Back to Normal, which features "Airplanes" and "The High Line", a track inspired by an industrial section of Manhattan converted into a park.[2]
In 2010, Kinetics & One Love were signed by the Warner Music Group as songwriters.[3] One of their tracks, "Airplanes", was bought by Atlantic Records and is the second single off rapper B.o.B.'s debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray.[4] Paramore's Hayley Williams is also featured on the track. [5] The song climbed to the number 2 spot on the Billboard Top 100.[6] A second version of "Airplanes" features Eminem and is included on B.o.B.'s debut album.
In May 2010, Kinetics and One Love released "The Graduation Song" featuring Atlantic Records' Wynter Gordon on the chorus.[7]
On October 10, Kinetics and One Love released "Sign Language", also featuring Wynter Gordon.
They are currently planning to release their follow up to "Fading Back to Normal" on January 25th 2012.
